Daniel Otaigbe Hospitality Operations & Facilities Support

About

An independent pair of eyes, and someone to close the actions out.

I am an independent operations and facilities support professional offering services to accommodation properties in Madeira. I work on my own account, directly with owners and managers. There is no agency behind me and no account manager between us.

01  /  Background

What I have actually done.

My work has been in facilities and operational coordination: facilities coordination, property coordination, maintenance supervision, operational support, supplier and corrective action follow-up, structured reporting and administrative coordination.

The pattern across all of it is the same. Work gets requested. Somebody has to confirm it was actually completed to the standard agreed, record it in a way that can be checked later, and chase what is still open. That is unglamorous and it is where most operational problems either get solved or quietly persist.

02  /  What I am not

Said plainly, because it matters.

I have not owned, operated or managed a hotel, and I do not claim otherwise. I am not an engineer, an architect, a licensing consultant, a regulated property manager, a property broker, or an adviser on investment, financial, legal or tax matters.

I say this plainly because the value of an independent pair of eyes depends on being honest about what those eyes are qualified to see.

03  /  Madeira

Why Madeira, and why on-site support matters.

Madeira is home, and I am returning to build this work specifically around the island’s accommodation sector.

The purpose is practical: to give owners and managers defined support for site visits, supplier follow-up, documentation and action tracking when on-site work is scheduled.

My intended service area is Funchal and the surrounding hospitality areas. Physical availability is confirmed before any on-site engagement is accepted.

04  /  How I work

Four principles, and they are not negotiable.

01

Written scope first

Nothing starts before you have the scope, the price and the timing in writing.

02

Observed, not assumed

I report what I see and what I can verify. Where I am uncertain, the report says so.

03

Actions get closed

A finding without an owner and a date is not a finding, it is a note. Everything goes into a register.

04

Honest about fit

If your property does not need me, or needs someone else, I will say so quickly.

Tell me about the property.

A few sentences about the property and what is not working is enough to start.
